Job Summary and Requirements:

Our company needs an experienced composite technician for
the research and development group. The applicant must be knowledgeable is all
facets of composite material layup, bagging techniques, and oven and autoclave
curing. The technician should be able to perform composite break out and trim
the composite parts to engineering specification. The technician should be
familiar with Microsoft Office software so that the appropriate documentations,
schedules, and planning can be made.

Job Duties

Lay-up and final bagging of composite parts.

Worked with fiberglass and graphite materials.

·        
Utilized overhead crane to unload parts.

·        
Experienced in the operation of computer electronic
information.

·        
Must verify work performed is per work
instruction and meets process and/or engineering specification.

·        
Support the continuous flow of products in the
production process by training and supporting employees at all levels of
classification.

·        
Cross trains in inspection and becomes MVP
Certified qualified for QA buy-off.

·        
The knowledge and skills in blueprint reading

Qualifying Skills

To provide the best assistance to
employees the individual selected should be both technically skills and can
provide on-the-job training in most aspects of the job requirements.

Level A

General Statement – Repair Mechanic

Perform repairs in an FAA approved repair station, work
to manual repair structure, component maintenance manuals and aircraft
maintenance manuals, as well as repair instructions that are approved. Other
terms from the manufacturer or airline customer. Team with others to perform
maintenance, repair and overhaul to a wide range of structured and
non-structured fiberglass, acrylic and other metals, working from the manual.
Approved repair and documentation, technical processes, quality control
requirements, drawings and procedures, to ensure the timely delivery of quality
products to customers.

Perform multi-tasking working tasks required as composite
operation where applicable:

“Demonstrates technical expertise in fabricating
assemblies, reworks and repairs nonmetallic parts, assemblies and aircraft
applying knowledge of working characteristics of nonmetallic materials and
bonding techniques.

·        
Mix catalysts into resins and saturate cloth and
mats with composite mixtures.

·        
Use brushes or hands to press layers of
saturated mats or cloth into molds.

·        
Select precut fiberglass mats, cloth, and
wood-bracing materials to transform into composites.

·        
Check completed composite products to ensure
they meet manufacturing specifications and lack defects such as bubbles or
“dead spots” that may have formed on the object during the molding process.

·        
Cure materials by letting them set at room
temperature, placing them under heat lamps, or baking them in ovens.

Repair or modify defective glass-fiber parts
